Ripley Carboot Sale is a giant outdoor car boot held on Chesterfield Rd (B6013), Ripley DE5 3RJ, in a scenic East Midlands countryside spot just two minutes from the Ripley A38 roundabout and easily reached from junction 28. It runs every Saturday morning through the season, from March to November.

Gates open at 7:00 AM for both sellers and buyers and the sale trades through to 2:00 PM. Sellers pay £10 for a car, £12 for a small van or £16 for a large van with no trailer charge, while buyers pay £1 per person from 7:00 AM (early birds £3 per person from 5:30 AM). Expect around 50 stalls packed with bargains across a grass field, with the event supporting several local charities. On-site you will find parking, toilets, disabled access, and dogs are welcome on a lead. As an open-air, grass-pitch sale it can be muddy after rain, so dress for the conditions.
