Yorkshire

Yorkshire is one of England's great car boot counties, and we list eight regular sales spread right across God's Own County, from the Vale of York to the coast. The scene here mixes huge, long-running field sales with friendly weekly community boots, so whether you are hunting vintage tools, retro homeware or a cheap day out, there is almost always a Yorkshire car boot sale on somewhere.

Among our favourites are Rufforth, the big Sunday boot near York that doubles as an auto jumble, and Lebberston near Scarborough, a busy Sunday market and car boot on the coast. Inland you will find Fitzwilliam near Pontefract on Wednesdays, Strawberry Fields at Bridlington on Thursdays, plus regular sellers at Doncaster, Huddersfield, Otley and York itself. Most run Sunday mornings from spring through autumn, with a few midweek options for keen bargain hunters.
