Ardleigh Car Boot Sale is the oldest recorded boot sale in Colchester, set on grass at Crown Ln N, Ardleigh, Colchester CO7 7QR. Run by the Boot Group, it trades every Sunday and bank holiday Monday from March to October, drawing around 150 stalls across the open field.
Gates open at 6:00 AM for both buyers and sellers. Early buyers pay £3 before 7:00 AM, dropping to just 50p afterwards, with last entry at noon. Seller pitches are £12 for cars, £14 for small vans and £18 for large vans, plus £2 for small trailers and £4 for large trailers; pitches are first-come, first-served and sellers needing extra space should notify staff on entry.
Expect a friendly first-come layout where attendees are directed to assigned rows on arrival. Catering and food vans sit at the ends of the seller rows, and the site offers parking, toilets, disabled access and is dog friendly. Staff and security are on hand throughout, and visitors are asked to take their rubbish home.
