East Lancs Car Boot Sale is one of the North West's longest-running car boots, drawing bargain hunters to a grass field at Morleys Lane, Astley, Tyldesley (M29 7EW). Held every Sunday from April to October, it has been a fixture in the area for over 25 years.
Gates open for both buyers and sellers at 6:30 AM and the sale typically winds down around 12:30-1:00 PM. Sellers pay £10 for a car, £12-£20 for a van, or £14 for a car plus trailer. There is no need to book a pitch in advance - simply turn up on the day and a pitch will be provided.
Expect around 100 stalls packed with everything from clothes and shoes to furniture and electrical goods. There is on-site parking, toilet facilities, and refreshments available, and dogs are welcome. Please do not queue on the slip road off the East Lancashire Road, and do not park on the road next to the field.
