Hook Road Car Boot is one of the South East's biggest and best-known Sunday car boot sales, held at Hook Road Arena, Chessington Rd, Epsom KT19 8QG. Dubbed "The Daddy of Car Boot Sales" by Time Out London, it runs every Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday from May to November, drawing up to 900 stalls of bargains.
Sellers arrive from 6:30 AM, with buyers welcomed from 7:00 AM (7:30 AM after 1 October). Entry costs £2 before 9 AM and £1 afterwards. Seller pitches are £15 for cars and small vans, £20 for medium vans, £30 for large vans and £5 for trailers — please bring the exact pitch fee and some coins for change. Buyers are asked not to arrive before 6:30 AM to let sellers set up.
Expect a huge open-air field packed with second-hand goods, antiques, household items and fresh finds every week. On-site amenities include parking, toilets and refreshments, and dogs are welcome. As an outdoor sale it can be affected by poor weather, so check ahead on a wet day.
