Horsley Cross Car Boot Sale is a friendly outdoor boot sale held on grass at Clacton Road, Horsley Cross, near Manningtree in north-east Essex. Running every Friday from April through September, it is a handy mid-week bargain hunt for buyers and sellers across the Tendring and Colchester area.
Gates open at 6:15 AM for both sellers and buyers, with trading winding down around 1:00 PM. Sellers pay £10 per car or van and there is no need to pre-book, just turn up on the day. Buyers pay a small 50p entry, making it one of the cheapest days out in the region.
Expect around 30 stalls offering second-hand goods, household items, tools, clothing, collectables and the odd hidden gem. The site is outdoors on grass with on-site parking, refreshments available and disabled access. As an open-air sale it can be cancelled in poor weather, so it is worth confirming before you travel.
