Boreham Car Boot Sale is one of the busiest car boot events in Essex, running for over 20 years on grassland off Generals Lane near Chelmsford. Held every Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday from March through November, it draws around 75 stalls of bargain hunters and sellers in the East of England.
Gates open at 5:00 AM for both sellers and buyers. Sellers pay £12 for a car, £15 for a small van or £20 for a large van, with no advance booking needed. Buyers pay £3 entry before 7am, dropping to just 50p after 7am.
Expect a large open-air, grass-pitch sale with on-site parking, refreshments and children's activities making it a family-friendly morning out. As an outdoor-only event it can be cancelled in poor weather, so check ahead before travelling.
