A large car boot sale on the flat hardstanding of the Colchester Park and Ride, just off junction 28 of the A12, run by Capital Boot Sales under an agreement with Essex County Council. It runs every Sunday and bank holiday Monday throughout the year, so it is one of the few boot sales in north Essex that carries on through the winter.

Sellers do not need to book. The main set-up time is 7am, which gives sellers an hour to lay out before buyers arrive, and early set-up from 6am costs £5 extra. Pitches are £13 for a car, £15 for a small van or pickup, £20 for a large van, plus £5 for a trailer or an extra bay. Early buyers are let in at 8am for £3 each; from 9am entry is £1, and under-12s are free at all times. Buyer parking is free, there is hot food and drink, and dogs are welcome.
