Birmingham Christmas Market is the UK's largest authentic German-style Christmas market, taking over Victoria Square and New Street in the heart of Birmingham city centre (B3 3AA). It runs daily through the festive season, typically from early November right up to a few days before Christmas, drawing more than five million visitors each year.
The market is open 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM every day during its run (roughly 3 November to 23 December). Entry is completely free, so there is no admission charge and no booking required — simply turn up and browse. As a curated market rather than a car boot sale, traders are appointed by the organiser, so there are no public pitch fees.
Expect over 150 festive stalls selling traditional German decorations, handmade gifts, mulled wine, bratwurst and seasonal food and drink, plus live entertainment. The site is fully outdoors with hardstanding, parking nearby, public toilets, plenty of refreshments and catering, disabled access, and dogs are welcome.
