Manchester's Christmas Markets fill ten city-centre sites in 2026: Albert Square, Lincoln Square (new this year, with a food and drink focus), King Street, St Ann's Square, the Corn Exchange, Exchange Street, New Cathedral Street, Market Street, Exchange Square and Cathedral Gardens. They run every day from Friday 6 November to Tuesday 22 December 2026, and the stalls at Albert Square and Cathedral Gardens stay open until Sunday 3 January 2027. Albert Square is the centrepiece, with a 50-metre big wheel, a vintage helter-skelter, a festive pop-up pub and heated covered seating among the food, drink and craft stalls.
Albert Square is open from 10am to 9pm from 6 November to 21 December. Over Christmas the hours change: 10am to 6pm on 22 December, 10am to 9pm on 23 December, 10am to 5pm on Christmas Eve, closed on Christmas Day, 10am to 6pm from 26 to 30 December, 10am to 12.30am on New Year's Eve and 10am to 6pm from 1 to 3 January. Hours at the other sites can differ, so check the council's page for the square you plan to visit. There is no ticket to enter the markets, which are spread along the city's streets and squares within walking distance of Piccadilly and Victoria stations.
