Most car boot sales are held on grass and close for the winter, usually between late September and the end of October. These 142 sales publish no closed season, so they are the ones still running between November and March, each with its day, opening times, entry fee and directions.
50 of them are held indoors or under cover, which makes them the safest bet on a wet or frozen morning. The most are in the South West (23), the South East (21) and Greater London (18).

Sellers: winter sales are usually quieter on both sides of the table, and pitches are generally paid on the gate, so ring ahead if you want to be sure of a space. A waterproof cover for your table is worth packing at any outdoor sale.
From late November we also list 4 Christmas markets. They are not car boot sales, since pitches are booked with the operator, but they fill the gap on many winter weekends.
