Blaydon Carboot Sale takes over the grass field at Crow Trees Ground, the home of Blaydon RFC on Hexham Road in Swalwell, Newcastle (NE16 3BN). It is one of the busiest car boots in the North East, running every Sunday from early March through late October. The club's long-running Wednesday sale ended in June 2026 after Newcastle City Council began charging the club to operate it, so Sunday is now the only session.
On Sundays the gates open from 5:00 AM for both sellers and buyers. Buyer entry is £1 for adults, 50p for seniors and free for children. Pitch prices for sellers start at £10 for a car, £13 for a car with trailer or a small van, £16 for a large van and £21 for a lorry. On sunny days the field fills fast, so sellers should aim to arrive early to grab a good spot.
Expect around 50 stalls packed with bric-a-brac, household goods, tools, clothes and the usual car boot bargains. This is an outdoor grass venue with on-site parking. As there is no indoor cover, the sale can be called off in poor weather, so it is worth checking before you set out.
