Burscough Car Boot Sale is one of Lancashire's most popular Sunday boots, held on grass at Pippin St, Burscough, Ormskirk (L40 7SP). Running for over 30 years, it trades every Sunday from March through December and draws hundreds of bargain hunters each week looking for everything from vintage clothes to antiques. Note that during the winter months organisers sometimes move the sale to The Airfield, Tollgate Road, L40 8LD, so check the Facebook page before you set off.
Gates open early: sellers arrive from 5:00 AM to 7:00 AM and buyers can get in from 5:00 AM, with trading winding down around 1:00 PM. Buyer entry is £2 per car. Pitch prices are £12 for cars and £20 for vans. No advance booking is needed, just turn up and pay on the day.
Expect around 50 stalls spread across an outdoor grass site. There is on-site parking, toilets and refreshments available, so you can make a morning of it. Please note dogs are not permitted. As this is an outdoor sale, it may be cancelled in poor weather, so it is worth confirming before travelling.
