Exeter Cathedral Christmas Market fills Cathedral Green in front of Exeter Cathedral and is Devon's biggest Christmas market, with more than a hundred festive chalets, global street food and themed bars. Traders are selected to showcase West Country produce and handmade gifts. During the market the cathedral offers entry by donation, so you can step inside to see its famous medieval vaulted ceiling and astronomical clock.
In 2026 the market runs every day from Friday 13 November to Sunday 13 December. It is open from 10am to 7pm Monday to Wednesday, 10am to 9pm Thursday to Saturday, and 11am to 5pm on Sundays. There is no charge to visit the market. The site has slopes and cobbled streets around the cathedral, with ramps on the main steps. The organiser recommends the Princesshay 2, Princesshay 3 and Guildhall car parks, and both Exeter Central and Exeter St Davids stations are within walking distance.
