Gloucester Carboot Sale and Market is one of the South West's biggest weekly boot sales, held at Hempsted Meadow, David Hook Way, Gloucester, GL2 5LL. It runs every Wednesday and Sunday, all year round, on a mix of grass and concrete pitches.

On Sundays sellers set up from 9:00 AM (early set-up from 8:00 AM costs an extra £5) and must stay until 1:00 PM; there is no booking and a pitch is £5 per parking bay. Buyers use a tiered entry system: £3 from 9:00 AM, £1 from 10:00 AM or 50p from the main opening at 11:00 AM, with under-16s free. All Wednesday timings are one hour earlier. It is run by Capital Boot Sale Group, which holds a 15-year lease on the site from Gloucester City Council.

With around 500 stalls, expect a huge variety of goods including antiques, used clothing and household items, plus popular fruit and veg stalls. On-site you will find food, ice cream and coffee trucks, free parking, a completely flat wheelchair-friendly surface, disabled toilets, and dogs are welcome.
