About this car boot sale
A Sunday car boot sale in Poynings, the South East, with its dates, times, prices and facilities below.
West Sussex's longest-established car boot sale, running since 1995 across two large field sites at Sayers Common and Poynings and open every Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday from March to October. Sellers arrive from 7am and set up from about 7.30am with no need to book, while buyers pay by the car - £5 before 8am, £3 between 8am and 9am and £2 from 9am.
Facilities include separate buyer and seller toilets, hot food, coffee and ice cream, children's rides and disabled parking at both sites, and dogs on leads are welcome at the organisers' discretion. The final scheduled sale of the 2026 season is at Poynings on Sunday 13 September, with 20 and 27 September held in reserve. Details confirmed on the organiser's website, September 2026.
The organiser has now closed for the 2026 season and plans to reopen on Sunday 28 March 2027 at Sayers Common, weather and ground conditions permitting. Checked on the organiser's website, 30 September 2026.
