Nottingham Winter Wonderland takes over Old Market Square in front of the Council House with a Christmas market, the Sky Skate ice rink and ice path, an observation wheel, a toboggan slide, the Ice Bar and the Alpine-style Sur La Piste and Altitude bars. It is run by The Mellors Group and opens on Thursday 12 November 2026; the market stalls trade until Christmas Eve, while the rink, bars and rides continue until 31 December, closing on Christmas Day.
In November the market is open from 10am to 6pm Sunday to Thursday and 10am to 8pm on Fridays and Saturdays. From 1 to 24 December it opens from 10am to 8.30pm Sunday to Thursday and 10am to 9pm on Fridays and Saturdays. Entry is free and no ticket is needed; skating, the Ice Bar and some rides should be booked in advance. The site has flat decking throughout, toilets including accessible facilities, and dogs are welcome in the outdoor areas. Bars and attractions are cashless.
