Madley Carboot Sale is widely considered Herefordshire's biggest car boot sale, set on grass at Madley, just outside Hereford (HR2 9NJ). It runs every Sunday from April through to October, drawing crowds of bargain hunters and sellers from right across the West Midlands and the Welsh borders.
Sellers can start arriving from 12:00 PM, with buyers admitted from 1:30 PM, and the sale typically trades through to around 5:00 PM. Pitches start from £7 per car, while buyer entry is just £1 per person. No advance booking is usually needed, but it is worth calling the organiser on 07884245715 to confirm before travelling.
With around 100 stalls on a busy day, there is plenty to rummage through, from household goods and tools to toys, clothing and collectables. The site offers on-site parking, toilets and refreshments, and well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome, making it an easy family-friendly Sunday outing.
