About this car boot sale
A Sunday car boot sale in Portsmouth, the South East, with its dates, times, prices and facilities below.
The seafront car boot sale run by Portsmouth City Council on Southsea Common, on Duisburg Way by the Pier Road roundabout and opposite Clarence Pier. The 2026 season started on 5 April and ran most Sundays to the end of July, then returned in September on the 6th, 20th and 27th. Sunday 27 September is the last sale of 2026.
Buyers get in free from 7am and trading ends at 1pm. Traders arrive between 6.30am and 7.30am, must stay until at least 11.30am, and have to be off the site by 1.30pm. Pitches are £5 for a walk-on seller with no vehicle, £10 for a car, SUV, 4x4 or small van and £15 for a transit van, campervan or vehicle with a trailer. Hot and cold food and drink are on sale. Every date depends on the weather, and cancellations go out on the Portsmouth and Southsea Car Boot Sale Facebook page. Details confirmed on the council's Visit Portsmouth page, September 2026.
