A large Sunday afternoon field car boot sale on the Braunton Road (A361) at Pottington on the north-western edge of Barnstaple, billed by the organisers as Devon's biggest. Sellers enter from 11am at £8 per vehicle and buyers from 1pm to 4pm at £2 per vehicle; it also runs on bank holiday Mondays during the April to September season. Dogs are not permitted on site, and sales may be cancelled for heat, weather or ground conditions, with updates posted in the Facebook group.
