Rufforth Car Boot is a long-running, family-run sale on Wetherby Road in Rufforth, just outside York (YO23 3QH). It runs every Sunday, all year round, and has been a North Yorkshire favourite for over 30 years, with both indoor and outdoor pitches so it goes ahead whatever the weather.
Buyers arrive from 8:00 AM (sale runs to around 1:00 PM) with entry at £1.50 per person. Sellers can set up from 6:30 AM. Outdoor secondhand pitches are £9 per car and £11 per van, while indoor secondhand pitches are £12; new-goods pitches are £20 either way. No advance booking is usually needed — just turn up early for the best spot.
Expect around 100 stalls packed with secondhand bargains, collectables and new goods. On-site parking, toilets and refreshments are available, dogs on leads are welcome, and there is disabled access, making it an easy morning out for the whole family.
