About Tansley Car Boot

Tansley Car Boot is a family-run business, that has established itself as the largest open-air market and car boot sale in the Midlands for over 32 years. It offers a great day out for families with its beautiful views of the Derbyshire countryside. Every Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday from February through to November, visitors can enjoy their regular market and car boot sale, as well as their farmer’s market, artisan, and craft stalls.

The first planned Tansley car boot sale is on 18th February 2024.

Selling at Tansley

Market traders and car boot sellers are welcomed at Tansley. To set up their stalls, sellers should arrive between 6.00 AM to 9.30 AM. The selling price for second-hand goods is £12 for a car, £14 for small pick-ups, £13 for small vans, and £18 for large vans/pick-ups.

For trade and new goods, the selling price is £18 for any vehicle, which includes baked goods and handmade items. All spaces are unlimited, and there are no trailer charges. Table hire is also available at £7 per table, plus a refundable deposit of £20.

Buying at Tansley

Tansley car boot opens its doors to the public from 6.00 AM onwards. Entry costs just £3.00 per car or £1.50 per person on foot, which includes access to the market/car boot and car parking. Dogs are welcome, and visitors can enjoy a walk in our beautiful fields.

On-site facilities include toilets, disabled access, and parking. Refreshments include hot and cold food, doughnuts, ice cream, and speciality coffees.
