A friendly monthly car boot sale run by volunteers on Walkington Playing Fields, reached through the tenfoot at the far end of Beech View in the village. Sales are held on the last Sunday of the month in the summer, from 7am to noon, and the 2026 dates ran from 26 April to 30 August.

Sellers simply turn up: cars are £10 and cars with trailers or vans £15, with £1 car parking for buyers. The sale depends on the weather and the association confirms by 5pm the day before. Details confirmed on the Walkington Playing Fields Association website, September 2026.
