Smalley Car Boot is one of the East Midlands' biggest open-air bargain hunts, set on grass at Belper Rd, Stanley Common, Ilkeston DE7 6FY. This outdoor sale runs every Sunday from May through to October, drawing sellers and buyers from across Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire.

Gates open at 6:30 AM for both sellers and buyers. Buyer entry is £2 before 7:00 AM and just £1 after 7:00 AM. Sellers pay £6 for cars and small vans, or £12 for large vans — no booking needed, simply turn up on the day.

Expect up to 250 stalls packed with household goods, tools, clothes, toys, collectables and fresh finds every week. There is on-site parking, toilets and refreshments available, so you can make a full morning of it. As it is held outdoors on grass, the sale is weather-dependent.
